Software Engineer β’ Android Developer β’ AI Product Builder
Building thoughtful software that preserves context, reduces cognitive load, and helps people turn intentions into action.
I'm Catalino Rodriguez, but you can call me C Rod.
I'm a U.S. Army Combat Veteran turned software engineer who is obsessed with building software people can actually use.
My current focus is PersonalOS β a growing ecosystem of Android-first, offline-first applications that combine local data, AI-assisted intelligence, and thoughtful product design to help people make better everyday decisions.
I am less interested in building another generic chatbot or task manager and more interested in creating software that:
- preserves personal context
- reduces decision fatigue
- restores unfinished intentions
- transforms raw data into useful guidance
- improves through real-world daily use
Every project begins with a genuine problem from my own life. I build the first version, use it, identify what feels wrong, and rapidly iterate until the software becomes genuinely useful.
PersonalOS optimizes for continuity.
PersonalOS is my long-term vision for a connected collection of focused applications that manage life domains the way an operating system manages computer resources.
Each application solves one domain well. Together, they create a broader layer of personal context.
