Portal is a free, open source Minecraft launcher built around playing modpacks with friends. The host shares an instance and pushes updates; everyone else's copy syncs before they play: mods, configs, even Minecraft and loader versions. Members see a changelog of exactly what changed before the game starts, and anything they added themselves is never touched.
It talks to Modrinth's official Shared Instances service, so it is fully interoperable: your friends don't need Portal. They can join your pack from the official Modrinth App without installing anything new.
Built on Prism Launcher and not affiliated with or endorsed by it; Portal bugs belong on our tracker. GPL-3.0, no ads, no telemetry. Releases are built by GitHub Actions, ship sha256 checksums, and carry build provenance attestations you can verify with the GitHub CLI.
