DisneyXOps

DisneyXOps is an end-to-end DevSecOps project that demonstrates the deployment, security, automation, and monitoring of a streaming application on AWS using modern cloud-native technologies.

This project implements industry-standard DevOps practices including CI/CD automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, Kubernetes orchestration, security scanning, code quality analysis, and observability.


Overview

DisneyXOps showcases the complete software delivery lifecycle from source code management to production deployment and monitoring.

Project Workflow

Source Code Management

Application source code is maintained and version-controlled using GitHub.

Continuous Integration

Jenkins automatically triggers the pipeline whenever code changes are pushed to the repository.

Code Quality Analysis

SonarQube performs static code analysis to identify bugs, code smells, vulnerabilities, and maintainability issues.

Security Validation

OWASP Dependency Check scans project dependencies for known vulnerabilities, while Trivy scans container images to detect security risks before deployment.

Containerization

Docker packages the application and its dependencies into a portable container image.

Infrastructure Provisioning

Terraform provisions and manages AWS infrastructure resources required for the deployment.

Kubernetes Deployment

The application is deployed and managed on Amazon EKS using Kubernetes.

Monitoring and Observability

Prometheus collects application and infrastructure metrics, while Grafana provides dashboards for visualization and monitoring.

Notifications

Email alerts provide information about build status, deployment outcomes, and security scan results.
