Blocked upstream, keeping this open as a tracker

eslint-config-next@16.2.11 itself is fine with v10 (its peer is eslint: ">=9.0.0"). The blockers are the plugins it pulls in transitively.

ESLint 10 removed the deprecated rule-context members (context.getFilename(), getSourceCode(), getCwd(), parserOptions, parserPath). eslint-plugin-react@7.37.5 still calls context.getFilename() in its React-version detection, which every React rule goes through, so lint dies on the first file:

Why not force it through

@eslint/compat's fixupConfigRules() would shim the removed context members and probably get lint passing. Rejected: it would paper over three separate unmaintained-for-v10 plugins, it can silently change lint results, and it buys nothing user-facing over staying on ESLint 9, which is fully supported.

Decision

Not merging. Leaving this PR open as the reminder rather than closing it with @dependabot ignore this major version, so we still get told when eslint-config-next ships v10-capable plugins. We stay on eslint@^9 and keep receiving 9.x patches in the meantime.
