What it does

DailyArxiv brings you a clean, up‑to‑date list of new arXiv papers every weekday based on your own research interests. It filters the official arXiv feed into a daily digest, so you can quickly scan, save, and revisit what matters—without noise.

Who it’s for

• Researchers and students who follow specific fields
• Engineers and PMs tracking fast‑moving areas (e.g., LLMs, vision, robotics)
• Anyone who wants a lightweight arXiv routine without manual search

How it works

• You add interests like “diffusion models” or a precise arXiv query
• Each weekday, the app checks arXiv for new or updated papers in a standard window (roughly yesterday’s batch; Tuesday includes the weekend)
• Results are merged, de‑duplicated, and shown on Home as “today’s papers”
• Nothing is deleted at midnight—Home just switches to the new day; your history remains

Getting started

1. Add your first interest (you can paste full arXiv queries or start with keywords)
2. Pick a daily time to fetch (or use the recommended time)
3. On Home, pull to refresh any time; check per‑interest status at the top
4. Tap a paper to read details, open PDF/arXiv, or save it for later

Localization

Multiple languages and RTL where applicable. Current strings include:

• English (en)
• Chinese (zh)
• French (fr)
• Russian (ru)
• Spanish (es)
• Arabic (ar)

Privacy

• No sign‑in, no cloud account
• Papers, interests, and settings stay on your device
• Network calls go directly to arXiv’s public API

Limitations

• New papers arrive on weekdays; weekends are bundled into Tuesday’s batch
• Very broad queries can return many papers—consider refining interests
• PDF/code links depend on what authors provide; detection is best‑effort

FAQ

• Can I follow multiple fields? Yes—add as many interests as you like.
• Can I import my interests from another device? Yes—use Export/Import in Settings.
• Why don’t I see anything on Saturday/Sunday? arXiv posts are weekday‑based; Tuesday includes the weekend.

We keep the architecture intentionally lightweight (Kotlin + Jetpack Compose + Room + WorkManager, no DI framework). Please align with existing patterns when contributing.
