Summary

Watch now has a reusable multilingual Matthew 24:14 globe that can live inside authored Experience flow, power the Watch not-found experience, and run independently for visual debugging. Promo copy and the animated canvas form one responsive surface, with distinct heading rhythm for the language prompt and 404 message.

The canvas uses real continent geometry, 39 public-domain Bible editions, adaptive mobile render profiles, reduced-motion and visibility gates, precise low-frame-rate scheduling, and an accessible verse description.

Validation

  • 134 focused Vitest checks pass across the globe renderer, lifecycle, shared section, homepage integration, 404, and proxy routing.
  • Web ESLint and TypeScript checks pass.
  • Changed files pass Prettier.
  • Existing desktop and mobile captures document the one-surface composition and constrained-phone performance. A fresh browser pass was partial because the host browser policy blocked local navigation; every affected route is recorded as skipped in docs/design-qa/watch-language-globe.md.

Notes

  • The standalone preview remains excluded from the Watch locale rewrite pipeline.
  • Production deployment and a CMS-authored globe block remain outside this PR.
  • Session-settled decisions carried from planning: keep promo copy and animation in one visual surface (user-directed, over detached typography and globe cards).
  • Plan: docs/plans/2026-08-24-2248-fix-language-globe-line-height-plan.md
  • Roadmap: feat-399 and feat-400
