This project implements NextAuth.js v5 (Auth.js) for unified authentication. Note that Auth.js v5 is currently in Beta and is the recommended approach for the Next.js App Router.
- API Auth Routes: Use App Router route handlers located at
app/api/auth/[...nextauth]/route.ts. - Route Protection: Instead of standard
middleware.ts, route protection is implemented viaproxy.ts. - Session Fetching: Server-side session verification should always use:
import { auth } from "@/lib/auth/auth"; const session = await auth();
