I'm Jake, a full-stack software and hardware engineer based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
As of late I have mostly been working on backend technologies, but I also work on the front end a bit for my day job. I also have some previous experience in CPU design and SystemVerilog.
The current project I'm working on is a skincare log with slight social media elements. This touches on a bit of everything from design and frontend, to backend and database.
Here are some of my preferred technologies in my stack
- Design and Planning: Figma, Obsidian
- Frontend: SvelteKit, TypeScript, Flutter, Dart
- Backend: Rust, PostgreSQL (or any of its flavors), Kubernetes, Kafka
- Operating System: NixOS, MacOS with Nix Darwin for compiling for Apple hardware
