This document is about migrating from 0.x to 1.x. I think it'd be better to update it to have separate sections for 0.x -> 1.x and 1.x -> 2.x.

PR summary
Bumps Node version to 24 and npm to 11. And updates the version and the config of eslint. This also brings some changes into the code, due to the new linter rules.
