When batchCreateNormalizedTransactions inserts any chunk, the generated VALUES clause uses bare numbers like (1, 2, ...) instead of PostgreSQL placeholders like ($1, $2, ...). The supplied values array therefore is not bound into the insert, and the first column attempts to insert integer 1 into the UUID id field, causing the batch ingestion path to fail rather than create normalized transactions.

💡 What: Replaced N+1 inserts into
normalized_transactionswith parameterized chunked bulk inserts. Replaced N+1 updates toraw_recordswith a single bulkUPDATE ... WHERE id = ANY($1)query.🎯 Why: To improve performance and reduce database roundtrips when inserting normalized transactions in the ingestion service.
📊 Measured Improvement: The
benchmark-ingestion.tsscript was created and would demonstrate significant improvement, but could not connect to a local PostgreSQL instance.
