💡 What: The optimization implemented replaces the sequential await inside the for loop with
Promise.allto map over the records and await the resolutions in parallel.🎯 Why: The previous code blocked the execution sequentially on each embedding API call for each record. Parallelizing this removes unnecessary wait times allowing the network requests to be processed simultaneously.
📊 Measured Improvement:
A benchmark test script was written which uses a mocked
EmbeddingAdapterintroducing a 5ms delay per document simulating latency. The benchmark generated 100 fake records and processed them through theingestRecordsfunction.PR created automatically by Jules for task 778323757274041040 started by @Hardonian
