A lightweight transparent overlay that reads Aion 2 network packets and shows real-time DPS for every member of your party — no game files are modified, nothing is injected.
Works with the PC (Windows) client of Aion 2.

The meter captures traffic through Npcap, so install Npcap once before running it.
Download and run the installer from npcap.com/#download. In the Npcap installer:
- ✅ tick "Install Npcap in WinPcap API-compatible Mode" — without it the meter can't find
wpcap.dlland shows "Npcap is required for packet capture". - ⬜ leave "Restrict Npcap driver's access to Administrators only" unchecked — if it's on, the meter (run as a normal user) can't open the adapter and the overlay stays empty. (If it's already on, run the meter as administrator.)
The Npcap installer itself elevates via UAC automatically — you don't need to start it as admin manually.

- Launch aion2t.com DPS from the Start menu or desktop shortcut
- Start Aion 2 and enter a dungeon — the overlay populates automatically

- Rebinding a hotkey works again — a new binding was only saved as a string. The hotkeys were registered once at startup and never again, so the meter kept answering to the old combination until it was restarted. The pause key was worse: the meter window and the global hotkey kept the same binding under one name in two different formats, and the one written last could not be read back — so after every restart pause fell back to Ctrl+Q no matter what you had chosen. Three smaller things came with it: a combination another application already holds is refused by Windows, which used to be silent and now turns the button red; keys the settings screen can record but the parser did not understand (PgUp, punctuation, the numpad) no longer revert to the default; and the screen no longer claims defaults it does not have — it showed Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R and Ctrl+Alt+Up while the meter listened on Ctrl+R and Ctrl+T.
- Your own row no longer shows up as a bare number — after entering a dungeon the meter often could not tell which row was yours: it showed the raw entity id instead of your character name and saved the fight to history that way. It was not random either — the first two bosses of every run went in like that, and your name appeared only from the third one on, when the game happened to re-send the character packet. Fight data deliberately survives a zone change, so that a boss you pull again keeps its numbers; but the test for "is the bound owner still fighting?" counted that leftover damage, so an id stranded in the previous run read as alive for the whole of the next one — and every path that re-anchors the owner treats a live binding as final, including the diagnostic that exists to report this exact failure. Two smaller holes on the same path were closed with it: your buff bar, the strongest fingerprint the meter has, arrives in one burst at zone entry seconds before your first hit, so the single attempt it got was spent before that entity had done anything; and when your own name reappeared on your new entity, it was mistaken for a party member's name landing on your row and refused instead of being followed.
- A Cleric party buff no longer counts as a debuff — buff and debuff classification comes from the client, and an effect missing from that table is guessed from the whole skill family. Earth's Blessing sits in a family whose base entry is a debuff, so a party buff was listed among player debuffs. The classification now comes from the client for 682 more effects, 228 of which were being guessed the same way.
- 27 new skill names — Ranger's Deadshot, Cleric's Earth's Blessing, Chanter's Spinning Strike, Fighter's Ferocity and Pulverize, and Judgment — plus 9 buff names and icons, 6 new wings and 4 new creatures. A creature the meter does not know contributes nothing to your pet bonuses, silently. Seven NPC names the patch rewrote were corrected, and no boss ids changed.
Q: Will I get banned?
A: The meter reads network packets passively — no game files modified, nothing injected. Use at your own discretion.
Q: The overlay shows no data.
A: Make sure Npcap is installed (the meter prompts you to download it if it's missing) — then check that Aion 2 is running on the same PC and you are in active combat.
Q: DPS values look wrong after switching parties.
A: Press Ctrl+R to reset.
Q: Windows SmartScreen blocks the installer.
A: Click More info → Run anyway. No paid code-signing certificate yet.
