Codex Shortcut Switcher 1.0: Codex account picker in macOS Shortcuts
First stable release of Codex Shortcut Switcher, a Shortcut-first local account switcher for Codex.
Features:
- Native macOS Shortcuts workflow for picking an account, quitting Codex, switching auth, and reopening Codex.
- Compact picker output with 5-hour and weekly usage remaining plus reset countdowns.
- Dependency-free Python script that switches accounts by copying stored Codex auth files with basic filesystem calls.
- CLI commands for adding accounts, listing accounts, switching accounts, running Codex with an account-specific CODEX_HOME, printing env exports, and removing accounts.
- Usage lookup avoids refresh-token rotation by calling the usage endpoint with the current access token only.
- Documentation for launching the Shortcut from Spotlight, Raycast/Alfred, menu bar, Control Center, or Dock.
- Security notes, owner-only file permissions, tests, and GitHub Actions CI.
Use only with accounts you own or are explicitly authorized to use, and follow OpenAI terms, policies, and usage rules.
