Summary

  • Adds a LICENSE file with the standard MIT License text, copyright 2026 Upendra Reddy (sole repo owner & sole commit author per git log and the GitHub repo metadata).
  • Adds a ## License section at the bottom of README.md linking to LICENSE, so the licensing terms are discoverable from the project's front page.

No code changes — documentation / metadata only.

Test plan

  • LICENSE file present at repo root, contains the canonical MIT text
  • README.md License section points at ./LICENSE
  • After merge, GitHub's repo sidebar should pick up the license automatically (no action needed beyond merging)

Created by upendra reddy (upendrareddy2511@gmail.com) with Replicas
Workspace  ·  Slack Thread

Why: repo had no license file, leaving usage rights ambiguous.
The thread confirmed Upendra Reddy is the sole owner / sole committer,
so an MIT license under his copyright is the appropriate default.
