* π¨ Severity: CRITICAL * π‘ Vulnerability: Weak regex validation (`^[0-9]+$`) in interactive `readline` prompts allowed arbitrarily large integers. This caused unexpected `NA` coercion via `as.integer()`, which then broke downstream `if` conditions, leading to process crashes or potential Denial of Service (DoS). * π― Impact: Process crash/DoS due to unexpected `condition has length > 1` errors when evaluated with `NA`. * π§ Fix: Replaced weak regex validation (`^[0-9]+$`) with strictly bounded exact-match validation (`^[12]$`) for choices 1 and 2. * β Verification: Verified with existing tests and added new explicit error-path testing using `mockery` for interactive inputs.
