Code of Conduct

Our commitment

Akasha is a community project. We are committed to providing a welcoming, safe, and respectful environment for everyone — regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

Our standards

We encourage:

  • Kind and constructive communication
  • Welcoming people of all backgrounds and experience levels
  • Giving and receiving feedback gracefully
  • Focusing on what is best for the community
  • Showing empathy toward other community members

We do not tolerate:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind
  • Offensive comments related to personal characteristics
  • Deliberate misgendering or use of rejected names
  • Sharing others' private information without consent
  • Sustained disruption of discussions or events
  • Any conduct that would be considered inappropriate in a professional setting

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies in all community spaces — GitHub repositories, issues, pull requests, discussions, and any other forum where community members interact on behalf of the project.

Enforcement

Instances of unacceptable behaviour may be reported by opening a private issue or contacting the maintainers directly. All reports will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly.

Maintainers have the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, issues, and other contributions that do not align with this Code of Conduct, and to temporarily or permanently ban contributors for behaviour they deem harmful.

Attribution

This Code of Conduct is adapted from the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1.
