What It Does

Texture Channel Extractor helps artists and technical artists inspect and split packed texture maps into separate grayscale channel images.

Use it to extract:

  • Red channel
  • Green channel
  • Blue channel
  • Alpha channel

The tool is useful when you need to debug channel packing, recover masks from an existing material texture, or prepare channels for repacking into another layout.

Typical Uses

  • Inspect ORM/RMA textures before assigning them in a material.
  • Split packed masks into separate files for editing.
  • Recover alpha or utility channels from delivered production textures.
  • Verify packed texture content before repacking with Texture Channel Packer.
