Collect permissibly licensed real-world telemetry samples #4

Description

@zrack

The checked-in Harbor relay fixture now provides a deterministic synthetic baseline. This issue remains open for permissibly licensed, real-world telemetry samples that exercise conditions synthetic data may miss.

Useful samples include:

  • a clean valid stream
  • partial or interrupted frames
  • corrupted packets
  • sequence gaps or duplicated transport delivery
  • multiple packet families and realistic cadence changes

Do not attach operational captures to an issue. Remove secrets, credentials, device identifiers, personal data, precise locations, and sensitive operational details, and confirm that the contributor has permission to publish the sample. Start with a description of the source and licensing/provenance before transferring any data.

Exit criteria

  • At least one reviewed real-world sample has explicit redistribution permission and documented provenance.
  • The sample is sanitized, bounded, and accompanied by a deterministic import/replay test.
  • The format and expected diagnostics are documented.
  • The sample travels through the same validation, decoding, replay, incident, and export pipeline as the bundled synthetic fixture.
