Summary
Consider two lightweight distribution/support improvements for DRAFTED after the MVP has been used for a while.
1. Add a Ko-fi support button
Add a small, unobtrusive support link/button in the extension settings/options page.
Suggested copy:
DRAFTED is free and open source. If it helped you write, you can support development on Ko-fi.
Guidelines:
- Keep it optional and visually secondary.
- Do not show donation prompts during drafting sessions or on
DISCHARGED..
- Open Ko-fi only after an explicit user click.
- Preserve DRAFTED's local-first / no-telemetry design.
2. Consider Chrome Web Store registration and release
Evaluate whether to register as a Chrome Web Store developer and publish DRAFTED there for easier installation and automatic updates.
Things to check before release:
- current Chrome Web Store developer registration / publishing requirements;
- privacy disclosure and store listing requirements;
- whether current permissions can be minimized further;
- screenshots, icon, description, and support/privacy pages;
- whether to keep GitHub + Load unpacked installation available in parallel.
Goal
Make DRAFTED easier for other people to install and use while keeping the project free, open source, simple, and non-intrusive.
