Currently there is an edit frame for profiles in which one can add and amend text as well as add and other codes for sources; and there is a presentation frame which appears when the editing has been saved. The presentation frame has large text, plenty of white space, and a variety of questions and adds to assist research. I don't use a cell phone to access WikiTree, but I suspect this makes WikiTree easier to use on a cell, and of course any research assistance is always welcome.
Either frame can be printed on paper but consumes lots of paper and contains a lot of material one would not want in a paper copy for off-line editing or presentation of results to family members.
It strikes me that this could be a most helpful tree-app if someone with the necessary skills were inclined to develop it. I'm picturing a printed result consisting of just the profiles' name, family relationship and date information from the data field, and the written text of the profile -- no suggestions or comments of any kind --- if you want those, print it the way it already prints.
it would be nice if there were a few word processing features, like being able to adjust the margins and print font. But the purpose would not be to edit the profile -- one can already do that. This would be purely to be able print something useful and nice-looking on paper.
Any takers among those who are competent to do so?
We already have the "Printer Friendly" app -- maybe this could be extended to have other sorts of printer-friendly views?
