Goal

Track the post-MVP AI image-to-3D roadmap from provider abstraction through provider evaluation and quality iteration.

Strategy

• Keep the current procedural model generation as the fallback path.
• Add provider abstraction before binding to any single model or API.
• Evaluate API and local providers against paper-model buildability, not photorealistic 3D quality alone.
• Use the existing model_generating stage and existing artifact kinds for the first AI integration pass.

Operating Rules

• Do not remove the procedural fallback until an AI provider has repeatable regression evidence.
• Do not expose provider choice to end users in M5.
• Do not add billing or quota mechanics in M5.
• Treat provider licensing, privacy, and data retention as release blockers before external beta use.

开发规划更新（2026-06-01）

已在 docs/roadmap/m5-m6-ai-image-to-3d-plan.md 写入完整的 M5–M6 分阶段计划，并对当前方案做了可行性评估，要点如下。

可行性评估

低风险部分：供应商抽象 + 程序化 fallback + 先评估后接入（#34 先于 #35）的设计是稳的，隔离了集成风险——供应商失败或未配置都不会破坏流水线，关闭 AI 后行为不变。

真正的风险：难点不在拿到 3D 模型，而在 AI 网格能否折成纸模型。Meshy / TripoSR / Hunyuan3D / TRELLIS 这类单图转 3D 常见背面糊、表面噪点、非流形、有洞、面数高；而现有 paperability 修复 / 简化 / 展开是针对干净的程序化基本体调的，鲁棒性可能不够。首版接入后部分输入的可组装性可能反而比程序化基线更差，最硬的网格清理 / 重拓扑工作目前排在 M6（#37），但可能是整个项目最大的不确定项。

新增建议：Phase 0.5 可行性探针

在投入 #32–#36 全套建设前，先花半天到一天手动跑 5–10 张真实图片：Meshy(lowpoly) → 现有修复 / 展开流水线，统计有几张能产出可组装展开图。

• 多数成功 → 按计划推进。
• 多数失败 → 把重拓扑（如 Instant Meshes / 四边形重网格）从 M6 提前到 M5，并并入 [M5] Build AI 3D evaluation harness for regression samples #34 的评估指标。

阶段与关键路径

• Phase 0：收尾 M4（合并 [M4] Build regression sample suite, manual assembly QA, and beta release checklist #17、关闭里程碑），固定程序化基线。
• Phase 0.5：可行性探针（新增）。
• Phase 1：[M5] Add AI 3D provider abstraction and configuration #32 供应商抽象（最高优先级，其他都依赖它）。
• Phase 2：[M5] Add Meshy and local HTTP AI 3D provider adapters with fallback #33 适配器 + [M5] Build AI 3D evaluation harness for regression samples #34 评估（并行）。
• Phase 3：[M5] Integrate selected AI provider into model_generating pipeline #35 流水线接入 → [M5] Surface AI provider metadata in task status and internal workbench #36 工作台可视化（完成即 M5）。
• Phase 4：[M6] Improve AI provider quality, cost, and deployment strategy #37 质量 / 成本 / 部署迭代（M6）。

关键路径 #32 → #33 → #35 → #36，其中 #34 可与 #33 并行。最大调度风险是跳过 #34 直接做 #35——评估数据出来前不要锁定供应商。另外按运行规则，供应商的授权 / 隐私 / 数据保留是对外 Beta 的发布阻塞项，应在 M5 期间调研。
