Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 9th of May 2026

Finance Lens respects your privacy. This document explains how the app handles data and permissions.

1. Data Storage

  • All your financial data is stored locally on your device.
  • No data is uploaded to any server or cloud service.

2. Internet Access

  • Internet access is used only to fetch (1) live currency exchange rates from the Frankfurter API and (2) send an anonymous summary of your totals (amounts and category names, no personal identifiers) to our AI Coach service when you request it

3. Ads & Tracking

  • The app contains no advertisements.
  • The app does no tracking and uses no third-party analytics.

4. No User Accounts or Personal Data Collection

  • No login or registration is required.
  • The app does not collect, store, or share any personal information.
  • The app does not access your contacts, camera, microphone, or location.

5. Third-Party Services

  • Frankfurter API is used solely for currency exchange rate data.
  • AI Coach uses a secure external AI service to turn your weekly summary into personalized tips. Only anonymized totals (income, expenses, category names) are sent — no names, notes, or raw transaction details.

6. Purchase data (collected via Google Play & RevenueCat)

  • When you start or restore a subscription, the following is processed off-device: Anonymous purchase token and subscription status An anonymous RevenueCat user ID generated per install Purpose: To validate your subscription. Processors: Google Play Billing and RevenueCat act as our service providers. They do not receive your financial entries. Encryption: All purchase data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Retention: Kept for the lifetime of your subscription as required by Google Play.

7. Your rights

Since your financial data lives only on your device, you have full control: Export: Settings → Backup & Restore → Export Data (JSON) Delete: uninstall the app or clear its storage in Android settings Cancel subscription: Google Play → Subscriptions
