Currently the "sample displacement" parameters are applied on a PowderPattern, i.e. globally per sample.
For some usecases (e.g. extended samples in cultural heritage) it's beneficial to allow a displacement per phase. The samples are not really mixed powders, and the phases are physically slightly separated.
To my knowledge e.g. XRDUA implemented this.
