BrickController Legacy Guide for Mould King 6.0 Hubs | Issue with the latest versions

This guide explains how to use one, two, or three Mould King 6.0 hubs with BrickController Legacy on Android.

1. Use the Legacy App

Install:

BrickControllerLegacy_3.425.500

Do not use the latest BrickController 2026/MAUI version for this setup. The newer version may crash when attempting to add Mould King devices manually.

2. Add the Mould King 6.0 Device Manually

Open BrickController Legacy.

Create or open your BrickController profile/creation.

Go to the device page and manually add a:

Mould King 6.0 device

Do not rely on scanning. The app may not find Mould King devices automatically.

3. Save and Exit the Device Page

After adding the Mould King device manually, save it.

Important: the device only connects after you exit the device page.

If you stay inside the device page, it may look like nothing is happening.

4. Re-Enter the Device Page

After exiting, go back into the device page.

Select the Mould King device.

At this point, the Mould King hub LED should change to full blue, then show a blue LED flash pattern.

5. Understand the Blue LED Flash Pattern

The blue LED flash pattern tells BrickController which device number the Mould King hub is using.

MK6 hub LED pattern | BrickController device -- | -- 1 blue LED flash | Device 1 2 blue LED flashes | Device 2 3 fast blue LED flashes | Device 3

8. Important Notes

The official Mould King app is not required.

BrickController Legacy does not clearly explain the hub-button step, but it is necessary when using multiple Mould King 6.0 hubs.

The correct sequence is:

Manual add → save → exit device page → re-enter device page → select device → set LED flash pattern with hub button → map controls

@vicocz that's right: I've removed the brickcontroller app from my Android Smartphone and installed the latest release 2026.02.1.
Indeed, it's crashing when I try to manually insert any device from MouldKing.
JIESTAR and PF Infra is working fine.

@SegasAtreides I don't understand why to exit and re-enter the device page...
Starting from page "Devices" press the left "+"-Button to enter the page "Manually add devices". Then toggle-on the devices you want to add (or toggle-off to remove). Then press the button on right top and page "devices" is entered - showing the selected devices. Then press one a device to open its "device" page - once entered the Bluetooth datagrams should be sent and die MouldKing Hub should change to Bluetooth mode...
If not, it's a bug.

@J0EK3R I don't know why it does that, but I just removed a device, added it again ( MK hub 6.0), and the behaviour is consistent. I'm running the app with full phone permissions from an S23 Ultra, Android ver.16, ONE UI version 8.5. Another issue is that even without battery optimization and full background permission for the app, app script push stops if I lock the phone screen and resumes once the app is on the screen.

It would be better to create single issue entries for each potential issue and not to mix all in one.
So it would be easier to handle them.
