How to rebuild IDE to install components?

Hi, how do I configure the profile Normal IDE under unleashed to be able to recompile the IDE without errors? I'm trying to make our framework compatible with unleashed

Nothing's changed on that front - rebuild the IDE exactly as you would in stock Lazarus. The build profiles (including "Normal IDE") and the whole component-install / IDE-rebuild flow are untouched. You can even install OPM packages just like normal.

If you're hitting specific errors, paste them here and I'll take a look.

Thanks for the reply but something is wrong with my install, I downloaded the latest version under "releases", 0.11.something then I tried adding weblaz and opm, hit rebuild IDE and it gave error in a GTK unit, tried changing the backend in the combobox to see if any other would work, all of them throw errors in different units specific to that backend. I'm not at my PC right now but when I get to it I'll post the complete error message here, or maybe I can open an issue if you want.

Yeah on that screen, the default setting is "Normal IDE" and first combobox is GTK2 on all Lazarus' releases, I should copy those settings then? Thanks, will try them later and give you a feedback telling what I found

Yes - set the LCL widget type to win32/win64. You're on Windows, so GTK2 is exactly what's throwing those GTK-unit errors. Pick win32/win64 in that combobox and rebuild.

Meanwhile I'll try to make the IDE detect the host it's running on and set the right widget type by default - unless you've already overridden it yourself at some point.

O didn't change anything in the code, installed using unleashed's own installer, added pretty much all cross compilers and then opened the IDE, changed it's looks and tried to install weblaz and opm to start trying to install other libs to see if they work

FYI - this is fixed now. A fresh install will detect the host's widget type and default to it correctly (so win32/win64 on Windows). If you already have the IDE installed, just pick the right widget type manually in the combobox.
