Hi, really like it!

I use pi so thank you for the integration. I frequently work above and across repositories for a single feature so my plans are not in the codebase. Thus I frequently use --only=myPathToPlan.md. My suggestion is to add /revdiff-plan myPathToPlan helper, which will save me from typing only.

And potentially, I am doing something wrong. Currently pi cannot start it for me. I didn't dig into it yet. I will check if a hook can be crated later

thx for the feedback. a few things to clarify:

Claude Code already handles this out of the box if you install both plugins:

1. the main revdiff plugin skill auto-detects file paths, so /revdiff path/to/plan.md works without --only
2. the separate revdiff-planning plugin hooks into ExitPlanMode and automatically opens the plan in revdiff for annotation before Claude proceeds. no manual step needed, annotations go back to the agent as feedback. install it with /plugin install revdiff-planning@umputun-revdiff

so if you're on Claude Code, this should already work the way you want.

pi support was contributed by @melonamin and is maintained separately from the core. the pi extension currently supports /revdiff --only=path but doesn't have a shortcut or automatic plan-mode hook. I'd suggest opening an issue and tagging @melonamin, he may be willing to add a /revdiff-plan convenience command or a plan-mode hook equivalent for pi.

regarding "pi cannot start it" - that's likely a terminal/launcher detection issue specific to your setup. worth investigating and reporting separately so @melonamin can look into it.

Current behavior in pi extension:

• /revdiff is smart, without parameters it will ask what to look at - uncommitted or branch diff
• /revdiff file automatically works without --only
• /revdiff-plan is impossible to implement in general way like in CC, there is no built in plan mode in pi. But it can easily be hooked into whatever plugin you're using for planning.
• /revdiff-reminders is a hack, that allows you to hook into after-edit pi event and ask if you want to run revdiff, disabled by default

As for launch:

• default is full screen, pi stops its own TUI and revdiff takes over
• /revdiff --pi-overlay launches pi in overlay, reusing the shared logic from revdiff

I just retested the extension on clean machine, works well for me, need more input from you.
