Dear BurnOut Users,
We want to inform you about important updates related to the packages you are using. Some of these packages have made changes to their compatibility and support. If your application relies on these packages, this update may affect you.
Update Details:
bcrypt==4.0.1: The bcrypt library is recommended to be upgraded to at least version 5.0.0 to avoid security issues.
blinker==1.6.2: Flask 2.3.x has made blinker>=1.6.2 a required dependency.
certifi==2023.7.22: This version of certifi has a vulnerability related to recognizing “e-Tugra” root certificates. It is recommended to update to a version later than 2023.07.22.
colorama==0.4.6: The old init interface will be supported indefinitely for backwards compatibility, but issues with it won’t be fixed.
dnspython==2.4.2: In dnspython 2.0.0, dns.resolver.query() has been deprecated, dns.resolver.resolve() should be used instead.
Flask==2.3.3: Several features and methods have been deprecated in Flask 2.3.x, such as ‘session_cookie_name’, ‘_request_ctx_stack’, and others.
Impact: If your program is running on these versions, you may need to upgrade your packages to ensure compatibility with future versions.
What You Can Do: If your application is currently using these versions, consider upgrading to a supported version. This will ensure that you can continue to use these packages with the latest features and updates.
For any questions or assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team. We are here to help you with a smooth transition.
Best regards, Group 54 BurnOut project’s team
