If Fast Koala looks in the project or solution directory and detects that it is a git repo, and then proceeds to invoke git for manipulating the files, an error will occur if git.exe is not in the system path. There should be some defaulting or failover behavior to either switch to no-provider or to subtly do the basics of what is being attempted of the updates from within the git provider.
