Cut button is missing in the menu (Mac)

I cannot do Command or Control X, to cut to paste the image elsewhere.
So I have to do copy and delete.

Heh.... good point ...
I think I have never used "cut" the actually remove a piece of an image in my life :-)
But you're right: that should work.
(And probably also use Command-Shift-Paste to paste it in the same location instead of top left, etc ...)
I'm probably su used to using layers for everything (including "moving pixels") that the other ways are a bit under-developed.
