Extended syntax

Hi when I have tried using more complicated wikimedia tables they fail to render correctly with the current version. Something for example like:

This example came from Editing_Wikitext/Tables

Hi, jasonfharris. Thanks for informed me about the WikiBooks table syntax variant. I have not aware of such variation. The indented cell data markup of the WikiBooks seems different from that of the MediaWiki.
For the moment, I do not know why WikiBooks adopted such syntax variant, and which is better at least to my own use in DokuWiki pages. Any idea?

Hi there, Thanks for getting back to me!!

Actually I wasn't even so worried about the indentation syntax variant. The setting of the styles themselves don't do what I expected. Ie the following didn't have the correct colors and styles. (Compare to the wiki books example...)

If you want to make letters bold, please use ** (DokuWiki syntax) instead of ’’’.
One more point, because of the limitation of the exttab3 plugin, the value of an attribute must be quoted like width=”80%” instead of width=80%. I hope following text will be rendered correctly in your DokuWiki page.

Ahh... Quoting it managed to fix the colors and I tracked down the width not working to a CSS rule in the bootstrap style I am using. So it all appears to be working then! Thanks!! (And thanks for the plugin!!)

So that just leaves supporting the independent style of wikibooks which I hunk I would use preferentially if it was available but it is not a show stopped by any means!
