2026.08 Really really slow startup now??

I just reverted back to 2026.06 and it was back to instant startup on showing a repo

Something happened in 2026.08 where it is just really slow to show a repo.... the same one as above like 30s + delay....

2026.07 is fine aswel... so something in 2026.08 is just broken as far how it takes to get to do anything not sure what.

Can not re-produce this issue on my PC(Windows 11)/MacBook Pro(macOS 15)/WSL (Ubuntu 24.04)

After comparing 2026.07 to 2026.08, I find a place that may be the reason of this issue. I've pushed a commit that tries to fix this issue. Can you download the latest CI build from GitHub Action to test it for me (I can not reproduce this issue on my devices) ?
