Thanks for the request! We will support importing projects from PenguinMod (as long as they only use vanilla Scratch features).

We have created an issue to track this: smalruby/smalruby3-editor#725

An update on this request: after looking more closely at PenguinMod, we've decided not to add PenguinMod project import.

When we reviewed public projects on PenguinMod, many of them rely on PenguinMod-specific mods and custom extensions that don't exist in vanilla Scratch. Even if we loaded such a project, it would not behave as intended in Smalruby.

We considered limiting import to "vanilla-Scratch-only" projects, but reliably detecting which blocks/extensions are PenguinMod-specific at load time is difficult, and loading one by mistake would leave the user with a broken project. It also falls outside Smalruby's scope, which prioritizes Scratch compatibility above all.

So we've decided that Smalruby will only support importing Scratch projects. We've closed the tracking issue accordingly.
