More renaming options would be a gamechanger

I am a huge fan of Jdownloader but it suxx when u want to download a lot of stuff. So I use this and it roxx. But I am missing the oiption to put the publishing date into the name. I'm watching on Kodi and I need this to get the order of the vids right ;)

You mean the date of the video upload? If its a song, it doesn't always correlate with the video date

It's more of YouTube shows where the order of the videos is important. for Example starcraft replays. The video title is always the players but not ordered in quarterfinals, semifinals and finals... but the order of the publishing date would fix that, so i can follow the tournament in the right order

there are no tags for videos, and the date of the file is the date it is written to your computer, so if your playlist is ordered right it should download in that order, and the files would be written in that order as well. I can't edit that. If it was a tag like in mp3 files (ID3 tag, read more here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ID3) I could, but there is nothing like that for mp4/mkv/webm, as far as I know

At the moment my process is as follows:

1. I download the file with jdownloader and jdownloader writes the publishing date of the video into the name.
2. I use a python script to read the publishing date from the name and manipulate the "created on" date of the video file to the publishing date. Then I can be sure everything is in the order as it is in the YT channel.

But its pain in the ass to download a lot of videos with JD and your golden piece of a program works flawless :) I'm just missing my option to get the publishing date into the filename.

I get it now.

There is no way to add the publishing date to the file name currently, I'll try to add it in the next version
