SNS scientist reported issue using scitiff image in ImageJ where it fails to scale when ROI is NOT selected.
ImageJ should be able to compute min/max but it fails to do so unless there is a ROI selection.
My hunch is that it's because of the second/third channels (variances/mask) but I haven't reproduced it myself.
We should either find a way to avoid this problem in ImageJ or inform users how to avoid this issue.
