ptemcee is no longer being actively maintained, and we should think about a longer-term solution than hackily maintaining it ourselves as we are currently doing. I propose that we attempt to write a high-level interface to Vousden's dynamic parallel tempering algorithm, which we can then add onto any existing mcmc algorithm we implement as a backend.
