My company uses a self-hosted gitlab/gitlab-ci environment rather than Github, but this would be immensely useful to me.

I have a few questions for you to aide with prioritization:

• Self-Hosted GitLab/Gitlab-CI: Does this mean you host GitLab in your own cloud? If so:
  • Which license tier do you have? (Currently it looks like there's GitLab Free and Ultimate?)
  • Is your GitLab accessible from the internet (e.g. without a VPN or on a WiFi Network)?
    • E.g. curl https://gitlab.example.com/oauth
    • E.g. curl https://gitlab.example.com/api
• Rank features from 1-3 as to most valuable to you (initially):
  • Role Assumptions from a Developer Laptop (using saml-to/cli)
  • Role Assumptions from GitLab CI/CD (similar to saml-to/assume-aws-role-action)
  • Support for other clouds (GCP, Azure)

These are all the questions I can think of for now! Looking forward for your feedback!

We self-host Gitlab Premium.
It is publicly accessible without VPN.

I'd order those features exactly as you listed them.

1. Role Assumptions from a Developer Laptop (using saml-to/cli)
2. Role Assumptions from GitLab CI/CD (similar to saml-to/assume-aws-role-action)
3. Support for other clouds (GCP, Azure)
