I have been getting this error consistently when trying to scan a full roll of film with a Nikon Super Coolscan 5000 ED and the SA30 adapter.
Refeeding the same roll did not fix it.
I tried it a couple of times, the last time making sure I didn't touch the film at all. It was just rolled up on the table and the scanner was consistently pulling it in.
Might be noteworthy that the film roll still has a leader. I inserted it in the opposite direction so the leader was at the end, to try resolve the issue.
AFTER this error, I was also not able to eject the film (2nd error message below this one).
