[Feature]: Make SVG's zoom without losing the quality

Hello, so right now if you zoom in on an svg image, it behaves like a rasterized image, meaning it loses the sharpness that svg is built to do.

Proposed solution

Make it so svg's is behaving like they supposed to, with no quality loss zooms

This is a known limitation of FlyPhotos:

FlyPhotos renders every image, including SVGs, as a raster image on a DirectX surface. Because of that, SVGs currently lose their vector sharpness when zoomed in.

Supporting true infinite SVG scaling would require a dedicated SVG rendering pipeline rather than the current image pipeline. I haven't looked into it in depth, so I don't know yet whether it's something I can realistically take on.

Also Fly's performance with SVG is not the best compared to other image formats. I haven't found a free to use SVG renderer that provides browser-level rendering speed. The DirectX direct SVG APIs unfortunately don't implement the full SVG specification, so they aren't a viable solution for FlyPhotos.

There is also an open source software that maybe you heard about, ImageGlass, i think you can check what solution they are using for the svg

I think they were using the webview (loading browser) for svg rendering. I haven't checked their code recently. But last time, I tried using image glass they had a checkbox for webview.

I don't want to load webview into FlyPhotos. We will look for alternate solutions.

It looks like they indeed had webview2 in v9, but in v10 which is now in rc, in the bottom of the readme there is no optional webview, I don't really know maybe they built it in or maybe they now using other solution?
