Error Setting up PI Engineering Device

I'm running into a similar situation as #1
however, copying the sample udev file to /etc/udev/rules.d does not solve anything.

GUI error message is the same (Error Setting up PI Engineering Device) and the console output when clicking [start] is the same:

(The segfault happens when I click any button other than [start], [stop], [quit], or [clear].)

I have an xkeys XK-24, running linux (ubuntu 17.10).

Just checking in... hoping someone's keeping an eye on this repo.
Still experiencing same issues with latest (feee5b2f), now on 18.04

rebuilt and it's ...apparently... working. found this which says you can't program the keypad on linux, so seems I may have misunderstood what the SDK is for.

Bummer, hopefully they give Linux a little more love at some point....
