Linux/Ubuntu compatibility

Hi, I'm intrested in exploring Linux/Ubuntu compatability for this project. I have an Ubuntu machine and thought I'd try running it locally and see what It would take. Though i can't make any promises, but if I get somewhere useful I'll share my findigs here. Would you welcome a PR for this?

You may have already noticed that I have provided download links for the applications on all three platforms.

However, these applications were built using GitHub Workflows, with a separate workflow for each platform. So far, I have only implemented local builds for macOS, as my Mac is currently the only machine I can use regularly for development. I have not yet performed local builds for the other platforms.

You can use your local Linux system to build the application. If everything works successfully, you can also help update the project's README.md with the build instructions. Thanks.
