Emails from owned-repo recent activity false positives from forks

At the moment under Emails from owned-repo recent activity, a lot of false positives are returned simply because a user has forked a popular repo (for example to contribute something). We might want to exclude recent activity emails from popular repo's/forks.

yup.

in a lot of cases, the previous 3 approaches didn't give the email, so that's why this last-ditch approach is there.

and yeah i've seen the situation you describe with lots of false positives.

we could try to more selectively grab an updated repo under the user.. one that isn't a fork the user never has contributed to... just not sure if we have good semantics in the API to use for that.
