Hi, deployment on k8s should work fine. I haven't tried it so there isn't a helm chart or examples. But there's no reason you couldn't.

I'm trying to build a helm chart for it. Although it is my first time creating a helm chart and I just do it in my spare time, so progress won't be that fast. Repo can be foundc here https://github.com/bramhoven/wildduck-k8s. Any help or feedback is always appreciated!

It is very sad that this idea was abadonned, we were thrilled to see that there is mail server, where you can store mails in db... BUT, there is no kubernetes support, no helm charts... I mean, in nowadays, when this is starting to be already hard rock basis for the project, it is shame... We use kubernetes in every corner in our new structure. We wanted to invest time for creating helm charts for wildduck, but we quickly found out, that it is natively not really easily possible because of how wildduck actualy works.

It would be very pleasant to see, if this is going forward, not stale!

Can you elaborate on why wildduck wouldn't work in k8s? I see no reason it wouldn't, and I know for a fact there are some people running it in k8s.

@mvarchdev Considering that there is now a working docker-compose I see clear possibility of adding k8s support in this repo. But Wildduck should work in k8s just fine already and as Louis noticed, there is no reason it wouldn't work in k8s.

It is possible that perhaps I'll add some simple k8s manifest file(s) for wildduck k8s deployment ;).

For the format, I recommend https://kubectl.docs.kubernetes.io/ (or Helm), as they have been the most audit+updatable.
