User experience suggestion: Allow the user to select the language or keyboard they wish to use for typing

My native language is brazilian portuguese and my keyboard have the ABNT2 format. But on my Ubuntu I use it totally in English. I would like to use the app with my ABNT2 keyboard layout, but I cannot do it. It would be nicer if we can select which language we want to use in the app like Ktouch does.

I don't write an excellent English but I hope you understood me.

With new versions of gtk there is api to know the selected keyboard layout in the system. Since the keyboard layout and the lessons are very much entangled in mecalin my idea was to use this new api to properly select the right lesson/keyboard layout. Unfortunately I am for now in a system with Ubuntu 24 so I won't do this until I manage to upgrade to ubuntu 26

I am using Ubuntu 26.04 LTS and it is very good, way more than 24.04. I saw that #13 yesterday and it worked for me, I am just waiting for me to use the abnt2 layout with that command. Thanks you
