Species coding should be done as follows, when altitude is involved:
Let us say there are 2 'operational units': 1) area A below 500 m; and 2) area A above 3000 m
The species should be coded as present if and only if one of these two criteria are fully met. It should be coded as ABSENT if, e.g.:
-the occurrence falls in area A but the altitude is 900m
-the occurrence falls in area A but the altitude is unknown (e.g., cannot be properly read from the GeoTIFF file)
