Basically thinking there could be a block that is powered by FE and acts similarly to a motor+directional gearshift+torsion spring combined with the added benefit of taking analog redstone signals in the sides to go to a fraction of the target angle.
The block should output rotation (like a torsion spring does) instead of being a bearing that assembles a contraption so one would still need a bearing at any aeronautics control surfaces.
