Allow disabling logging

Perhaps for performance reasons, it would be nice to be able to disable logging altogether.

Additionally suppress logging on specified log level (e.g INFO WARN DEBUG etc)
Could do suppression at compile time by writing a macro wrapper for log functions that either generate code to do logging or if a given variable is set at compile time.
