Since the last update, we have been working closely with the art team to create the map and develop the puzzles. This has led to us developing a solid and collective understanding of what we want the game to be. In the game, the player will start on the central island, then explore outwards to the 3 exterior islands. On each island, the player will collect the sigils by solving a variety of puzzles.
<br><br>For these puzzles, we have made levers and doors that will be put together to make interesting and dynamic puzzles for the player to solve. Once solved, the player will see the sigil, it will activate by changing color, and the symbol will appear on your onscreen ui.<br><br>
We have also worked to make the boat for the game. Instead of using bouyancy or making the boat actually float on the water, we created something more of a hover craft. The water is a plane that sits above a seperate ground plane. It is this bottom ground plane that the boat is actually hovering above, at a height that gives the illusuion that the boat is floating on the water. The boat can then be moved around using basic WASD controls.

					In addition, we made it so that by using the docks that will be spread across the islands, the player can mount and unmount the boat to switch from sailing to walking. This port system will allow the player to easily travel from island to island, then get off to solve the puzzles.<br><br><img src="Images/Midterm art post/Caleb/Char02.PNG" alt="boat"><br><br>
