Emerges from discussion with Orion and Jineta on 2026.03.13: Desire to perform an audit of our attributes, their valid values, and descriptions, and plan for an update on these to tidy / correct descriptions and ontologies, as well as consider / incorporate synonyms.
Anticipated to be of immediate direct value because:
- We are actually overdue to do this
- This would help with ongoing portal search improvement efforts re: synonyms
- This will help with incorporation / usage of portal co-pilot
- This will help with interests in knowledge graphs
- This helps strengthen and update the model, in parallel with the ongoing mapping efforts
Consider this a must do for Y4, with an initial focus / priority on imaging and multi-modal data in the non-human space. Aim to showcase for Y4 site visit and demonstrate how these improvements can optimize discovery (maybe revisit Synapse-hosted datasets from the data sharing pilots - lsm zebrafish, and spatial data to include in demo)
