As I see it, NegPy and RapidRAW is built on two different philosophies, and I think merging them or "transfer" the rapidraw ui over to negpy would result in a very confusing mental model. But there is nothing that stops a user to do a basic neg-pos conversion in NegPy, export and edit in RapidRAW. You could even export as a flat intent, which gives the user maximum flexibility in editing in external tools. |

Downloaded the RapidRAW open source program ,that gives kudos to NegPy for negative inversion, and it's actually really good for photo editing. But, when it comes down to converting negatives I can easily say that it just doesn't compete with NegPy and the tools/adjustments it offers. However, I really enjoy the simplicity of the RapidRAW software and UI for standard editing with its more traditional layout is phenomenal.
I guess in a perfect world (and what I'm trying to ask) is if there is somehow a way to get the UI and simplicity of something like RapidRAW but with the addition of the negative conversion and tools of NegPy all in one?
Idk what that would look like or how it could work, but as a hobbyist the ability to have an all in one open source program for "Normal" photo editing with a more familiar look AND a conversion tool for negatives ,with the ability of NegPy, would be super awesome. In my head it would almost be working similar to how Neg Lab Pro is with Lightroom, convert and edit all in one. Just an Idea!
Shoot for the moon right? :)
