MySQL 5.7 has officially [reached EOL](https://www.mysql.com/news-and-events/web-seminars/migrating-from-mysql-5-7-to-mysql-8/#:~:text=In%20addition%2C%20per%20Oracle's%20Lifetime,under%20Oracle%20Sustaining%20Support%20only.) in Dec 2023, I believe the default version should now be 8.0. I'd be happy to try and push a PR for this
